Z 103.5’s DREAM VACATION
Official Contest Rules & Regulations (the “Rules”)
1. The Z 103.5’s Dream Vacation contest (the “Contest”) is brought to you by CIDC-FM Z103.5 (the “Station”), of Dufferin Communications Inc. (the “Contest Organizer”). The Contest starts on Monday, January 26, 2026 at approximately 8:00 a.m. ET and closes on Wednesday, April 1, 2026 at approximately 8:00 p.m. ET (the “Contest Period”). No purchase necessary. Void where prohibited.
2. ELIGIBILITY. This Contest is open to individuals who are a legal resident of Ontario, Canada and are twenty-one (21) years of age or older at the start of the Contest Period. Employees and their parents, siblings and children, and individuals domiciled with an employee of the Contest Organizer, its agents, parent, affiliated or related companies, subsidiaries, divisions, prize sponsors, and promotional and advertising agencies and administrators, are ineligible to enter. A winner of a Station contest or a contest conducted by CKDX-FM (Hot Country 88.5), CHLO (CHLO AM530 Multilingual), CFWC-FM (Hot Country 93.9 FM), CKPC-FM (Lite 92.1 FM), or CJGB-FM (Lite 99.3 FM), (collectively, “ECI Stations”) within the ninety (90) days preceding the start of the Contest Period (including any individuals designated by such winners to take ownership of prizes) and individuals domiciled with such a winner are ineligible to enter and may be disqualified. The Potential Winner (defined below) will not be eligible to win any prize, award, contest, sweepstake, or giveaway offered by any of the ECI Stations or the Contest Organizer for a period of one (1) year following the date the Prize (defined below) is awarded.
3. TO ENTER. During the Contest Period, an on-air cue-to-text announcement with a unique keyword (each, a “Keyword”) will be aired on the Station five (5) times per weekday (Monday-Friday, except for Monday, February 16, 2026): one (1) Keyword at approximately 8 a.m. ET; one Keyword at approximately 11:00 a.m. ET; one Keyword at approximately 2:00 p.m. ET; one Keyword at approximately 5:00 p.m. ET; and one Keyword at approximately 8:00 p.m. ET (each, an “Announcement”). The 103rd text message through to the Station’s contest line (416-798-1035) containing the correct Keyword following the Announcement will be contacted by telephone and will be required to tell the on-air announcer the location of the Qualifier’s dream vacation, and at this time, will be declared a qualifier (each, a “Qualifier”) for entry into the Qualifier Draw (defined below). The Qualifier may be announced on-air and may be required to chat on-air.
4. Those listening via the on-demand player online or via a mobile app may experience a delay of five (5) minutes or more than that of the terrestrial radio feed.
5. If there is not a clear telephone connection between the Station’s on-air announcer and a Qualifier, such that one or each other cannot hear the other, such caller will be disqualified, and the Contest Organizer will not be liable in any way for such failed connection. In conducting the Contest, the Contest Organizer and its representatives have the full and absolute discretion to disqualify any Qualifier whose response cannot be heard by the Contest Organizer’s representative, and the Contest Organizer shall have no liability or responsibility to any Qualifier so disqualified.
6. Contest entrants shall be responsible for any long-distance charges or other fees charged by their service provider in connection with entering the Contest.
7. Limit one (1) entry per individual per Announcement. An individual can only qualify for entry into the Qualifier Draw only one (1) time. If it is discovered that an individual has attempted to enter more than once per Announcement, or enter again after qualifying for entry into the Qualifier Draw, whether using falsified information, fraudulent conduct, or other means, all of the individual’s entries will be void and a police report will be filed documenting the conduct.
8. QUALIFIER CONTACT. After being declared a Qualifier, each Qualifier will be contacted by a representative of the Contest Organizer at any point in time during the Contest Period, and will be required to complete a screening process. The Qualifier must provide their name, address, telephone number, and such other information as may be required to administer the Contest and to verify entry eligibility. Failure to provide the requested information or successfully complete the screening process as specified by the Contest Organizer may result in disqualification.
9. QUALIFIER DRAW. On Wednesday, April 1, 2026, at approximately 8:15 p.m. ET, ten (10) potential prize draw qualifiers (each a “Potential Prize Draw Qualifier”) will be randomly drawn from the eligible Qualifiers at 5312 Dundas Street West, Toronto, Ontario (the “Qualifier Draw”) for inclusion in the Prize Draw (defined below).
10. PRIZE DRAW. On Wednesday, April 1, 2026, at approximately 9:15 p.m. ET, after all Prize Draw Qualifiers are confirmed for the Prize Draw, a potential winner (the “Potential Winner”) will be randomly drawn from the Prize Draw Qualifiers.
11. POTENTIAL WINNER CONTACT. On Thursday, April 2, 2026, between approximately 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. ET, the Contest Organizer, acting reasonably, will attempt to contact the Potential Winner to notify them that they may have won the Prize by telephone. The phone call may come from a blocked telephone number. If the Potential Winner cannot be contacted immediately, they will be disqualified and an alternate potential winner, randomly drawn from the remaining Prize Draw Qualifiers, will be contacted until a potential winner is reached by telephone and confirmed as the Potential Winner. The Potential Winner may be announced on-air and may be required to chat on-air. The Potential Winner will then be required to provide a representative of the Contest Organizer with their name, address, telephone number, and such other information as may be required to administer the Contest.
12. If there is not a clear telephone connection between the Station’s on-air announcer and the Potential Winner, such that one or each other cannot hear the other, such Potential Winner will be disqualified, and the Contest Organizer will not be liable in any way for such failed connection. In conducting the Contest, the Contest Organizer and its representatives have the full and absolute discretion to disqualify any Potential Winner whose response cannot be heard by the Contest Organizer’s representative, and the Contest Organizer shall have no liability or responsibility to any individual so disqualified.
13. The provisions and procedures referred to above relating to the selection and notification of a potential winner shall be applied, with the necessary amendments, until a qualified winner has been duly selected, but in any event, by no later than April 22, 2026.
14. PRIZE. There is one (1) prize available to be won, consisting of one (1) travel credit valued at $15,000.00, provided by Advance Group Tickets, that can be applied toward a vacation experience of the winner’s choice (the “Prize”). The approximate retail value of the Prize is $15,000.00.
15. The Prize must be accepted as awarded with no substitutions, except as may be decided by the Contest Organizer in its sole discretion. The Prize, and any portion thereof, is non-exchangeable, non-transferable, non-refundable, has no cash surrender value, may not be sold, is not convertible to cash, and is not substitutable by the Potential Winner.
16. The Contest Organizer reserves the right, in its sole discretion and for any reason: to substitute the Prize in whole or in part in the event that all or any component of the Prize is unavailable; to substitute and/or modify the Prize or any portion thereof with a Prize of equal or greater value; and/or, substitute the Prize with the monetary equivalent of its applicable approximate retail value as detailed above. The Prize, or any portion thereof, will not be replaced if lost or stolen. If the Prize, or any portion thereof, is unused, it cannot be carried forward and will be forfeit.
17. ADDITIONAL PRIZE TERMS & CONDITIONS:
a) The Prize can only be applied to eligible travel-related expenses, expressly approved by Advance Group Tickets, who has the sole discretion to determine which expenses are covered by the Prize. The number of guests accompanying the Prize winner, if any, is subject to approval by Advance Group Tickets, in its sole discretion. The Prize winner and their guest(s) (the “Travellers”) are solely responsible for any and all costs not covered by the Prize, which may include, but is not limited to, travel and medical insurance, items of a personal nature, souvenirs, taxes, insurance, gratuities, travel to the departure airport or to the hotel, ground transportation, meals, beverages, incidentals, tips, telephone calls, airline baggage fees, medical expenses, and all personal expenses of any kind or nature. The Contest Organizer is not responsible for any delay, postponement, suspension, rescheduling or cancellation, for any reason, of the Prize, and the Prize winner will not be compensated in the event of such delay, cancellation, or other event described herein.
b) The Prize winner must be one of the passengers booked in the travel party. The Travellers must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age. The Travellers must have all necessary photo identification and/or valid travel documents required for travel, such as passports and/or visas. The Travellers may be required to present a major credit card to hotel upon check-in.
c) The Prize is limited to the monetary amount ($15,000.00 CAD) as set out in these Rules. The Contest Organizer and any provider of the Prize shall not be responsible for any costs, expenses, fees, or charges of any kind incurred by the Travellers that exceed the stated value of the Prize. Any and all such additional costs or expenses incurred by the Travellers which exceed the monetary amount of the Prize shall be the sole responsibility of the Travellers.
d) The vacation destination selected by the Prize winner is subject to approval by Advance Group Tickets, in its sole discretion. The vacation destination is limited to one (1) country. Selection of a vacation destination does not guarantee availability or approval, and approval is contingent upon factors including, but not limited to, availability, cost, and travel restrictions. Advance Group Tickets reserves the right to deny or modify any vacation destination selection. If the Prize winner’s selected vacation destination is not approved, the Prize winner will have an opportunity to select an alternate destination, subject to the same approval requirements. Failure to select an alternate destination may result in forfeiture of the Prize.
e) All travel must occur and be completed within one (1) year from the date the Prize is awarded to the Potential Winner, unless otherwise expressly approved by Advance Group Tickets. Failure to book and/or complete travel within this time period shall result in forfeiture of the Prize, in whole or in part, at the sole discretion of the Contest Organizer, and no substitution, extension, or compensation will be provided.
f) The Prize must be used in its entirety within one (1) year from the date the Prize is awarded to the Potential Winner, unless otherwise expressly approved by Advance Group Tickets. The Prize may not be partially retained or deferred to a later date or to another vacation booking. Any portion of the Prize that is not used within this time period shall be forfeited, shall have no cash value, and will not be redeemed for cash, refunded, transferred, or applied to any other vacation booking.
g) Travel may be taken from the time that no travel restrictions, stay-at-home orders, quarantine orders, shelter in place orders, “safer at home” orders, or similar orders or recommendations are in effect at either the Prize winner’s place of origin or the destination. Blackout dates may apply. Airline schedules, travel routes, and applicable providers are at the sole discretion of Advance Group Tickets. Non-stop service may not be offered. Once reservations are made, they cannot be changed, save as otherwise determined in the absolute discretion of Advance Group Tickets.
h) Any lost or stolen travel vouchers or certificates will not be replaced.
i) Use of any airfare tickets are subject to the airline’s general conditions of carriage.
j) It is recommended that the Travellers obtain sufficient personal insurance, including but not limited to medical and COVID-19 insurance, prior to departure.
k) The Contest Organizer is not responsible in the event any Traveller is denied the ability to fly out of or into any particular airport, whether due to airport restrictions or otherwise, nor are they responsible for any cancellations, delays, diversions or any other changes made by any transportation and/or travel companies, hotels, air carriers, or others providing or arranging any travel or prize-related services or accommodations, including, without limitation, any resulting changes in services or accommodations.
l) The Travellers must comply with all applicable laws, including but not limited to, all local laws while in destination.
m) The Travellers acknowledge the risks related to the spread of infectious or contagious disease, and that it remains their responsibility to take the necessary precautions applicable to any health hazards, including but not limited to COVID-19. It is the responsibility of the Travellers to abide by all applicable public health and governmental laws, regulations and directives, including but not limited to as it relates to testing, self-isolation or quarantine. It is also the responsibility of the Travellers to adhere to all applicable mandatory safety protocols, including but not limited to those that have been introduced by the provider of any Prize component.
n) The Contest Organizer and the provider of any Prize component have the right, in their absolute discretion, to disqualify and/or remove any Traveller from any activity at any time if such individual is at any point uncooperative, disruptive, abusive, or unobservant of applicable rules, laws or regulations, or if such individual is likely to cause or has caused damage to person, property, or the reputation of the Contest Organizer and/or the provider, as determined in their respective absolute discretion as applicable.
o) FORCE MAJEURE: The Contest Organizer and/or its suppliers do not assume liability for any loss, damage or injury of any nature in whole or in part resulting from an act of God or any other force majeure condition including without limitation: fire, volcanic eruption, environmental pollution or contamination, inclement weather, earthquake, flood, explosion, water or power shortages or failures, storms or hurricanes, riots or civil commotions or disturbances and any other acts of similar nature, sabotage, arrests, strikes, boycotts, picketing, lockouts or other labour disruptions, inability or failure of a third party service provider to provide services and/or products, restraints of rulers or peoples, expropriations, acts of terrorism, public enemies, war, invasion, insurrection, national emergency, epidemics, pandemics, quarantine restrictions, government health advisories or warnings or alerts of any kind or nature, government seizures, any laws, rules, proclamations, regulations, orders, declarations, advisories, actions, interruptions or requirements of or interference by any government or governmental agency thereof, refusal or cancellation or suspension or delay of any government authority or any license, permit or authorization, damages to its facilities or the supplier and its facilities, any other unforeseen circumstances in any country in the world or any other cause or causes of any similar nature that impacts negatively on or hampers its ability to fulfill any of its contractual conditions (all of the foregoing being herein referred to as an “Event of Force Majeure”). In the event that any of these conditions apply, the Contest Organizer shall be excused, discharged or released from its performance to the extent such performance is so limited or prevented, without liability of any kind and the Contest Organizer’s non-performance shall not be deemed a breach of these Contest Rules. In such case, the Prize shall be forfeited.
18. PRIZE SUPPLIER. The prize supplier is Dufferin Communications Inc.
19. ODDS OF WINNING. The odds of qualifying for the Qualifier Draw will depend on the number of eligible entries received during the Contest Period. The odds of qualifying for the Prize Draw from the Qualifiers, shall be ten (10) in two hundred thirty-five (235). The odds of winning the Prize from among the applicable Prize Draw Qualifiers shall be one (1) in ten (10).
20. AWARDING OF PRIZES. Proof of identification must be provided upon request. In order to be declared a winner, each Potential Winner must first correctly answer, unaided, a time-limited mathematical skill-testing question administered by the Contest Organizer. Before being awarded the Prize, each Potential Winner will be required to sign and return within the time stipulated by the Contest Organizer a full release and indemnity form stating, among other things, that: they have read, understood and complied with the Rules; they accept the Prize as awarded; they are responsible for any additional fees or charges associated with the Prize; they grant permission for the Contest Organizer to use any or all of their name, photograph, and likeness for publicity purposes; and they release the Contest Organizer from any and all liability of any kind arising out of the Potential Winner’s participation in this Contest and receipt and use of the Prize. In the event that a Potential Winner does not comply with all the provisions as contemplated in these Rules, the Contest Organizer shall have the right to disqualify the Potential Winner, and the Contest Organizer shall be fully and completely released and discharged from any liability or responsibility in this regard.
21. After being selected, the Potential Winner will be contacted by Advance Group Tickets via e-mail, using the e-mail address provided by the Potential Winner. The Potential Winner must respond to the e-mail within seven (7) days of receipt of the e-mail to claim the Prize. The Potential Winner is responsible for claiming the Prize from Advance Group Tickets. The Potential Winner is responsible for providing the Contest Organizer with the accurate and up-to-date contact information required. The Contest Organizer is not responsible for any failure to receive the Prize due to incorrect, incomplete, or outdated information provided by the Potential Winner. If a Potential Winner does not claim the Prize within this time period, the Prize will be considered forfeit and the Contest Organizer may, at its sole discretion, select an alternate winner. No credit or reimbursement will be provided if the Prize is not claimed.
22. RELEASE AND LIMITATION OF LIABILITY. BY PARTICIPATING IN THE CONTEST, PARTICIPANTS WILL WAIVE CERTAIN LEGAL RIGHTS, INCLUDING THE RIGHT TO SUE OR CLAIM COMPENSATION FOLLOWING AN ACCIDENT. The entrants and participants of the Contest, including without limitation the Prize winner, acknowledge that participation in this Contest and the collection or use of the Prize may be inherently dangerous and agree to release, indemnify and hold harmless the Contest Organizer and its parent, affiliated or related companies, and subsidiaries, and their respective officers, directors, employees, representatives, agents, and advertising and promotional agencies, from any and all claims, damages, injuries or losses of any kind resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from participation in the Contest or any Contest-related activity, or the acceptance, possession, use or misuse of the Prize.
23. By entering this Contest, the entrants and participants automatically agree to accept and abide by these Rules. All decisions of the Contest Organizer with respect to any aspect of this Contest, including, without limitation, the eligibility of entries, are final and binding on all entrants in all matters as they relate to this Contest.
24. All entries become property of Contest Organizer. The Contest Organizer assumes no responsibility for garbled, lost, late, delayed, destroyed or misdirected entries, mail, voice messages, e-mail or any computer errors or malfunctions. No correspondence will be entered into except with entrants requesting a copy of these Rules by mail, for which a self-addressed, postage paid envelope must be included. The Contest Organizer does not assume any responsibility for incorrect or inaccurate capture of entry information, technical malfunctions, human or technical error, seeding or printing errors, lost, delayed or garbled data or transmissions, omission, interruption, deletion, defect or failures of any telephone or computer line or network, computer equipment, software or any combination thereof. Entry materials or data that have been tampered with or altered are void.
25. The Contest Organizer reserves the right to withdraw, cancel, terminate, modify, amend, extend or suspend this Contest at any time without prior notice. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, if, in the opinion of the Contest Organizer, in its sole discretion, the Contest is not capable of running as originally planned for any reason, or if the administration, security, fairness, integrity or the proper conduct of the Contest is corrupted or adversely affected, including by reason of infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond its control, the Contest Organizer reserves the right to withdraw, cancel, terminate, modify, amend, extend or suspend the Contest without prior notice, including by selecting a Potential Winner from previously received eligible entries. The Contest Organizer reserves the right to modify the Rules without materially affecting the terms and conditions hereof.
26. The Contest Organizer reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual it finds to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Contest or to be acting in violation of the Rules or otherwise in a disruptive manner, including any automated, macro, script, robotic or other system(s) or program(s) to enter. Any attempts to deliberately damage the Contest website or to undermine the legitimate operation of this Contest is a violation of criminal and civil laws and, should such an attempt be made, the Contest Organizer reserves the right to seek remedies and damages to the fullest extent of the law. The Contest Organizer shall not be held responsible for any errors or negligence that may arise or occur in connection with the Contest, including any damage to an entrant’s computer equipment, system, software or any combination thereof, as a result of their participation in this Contest or from downloading any material from the Contest website.
27. The Contest Organizer is not responsible for any typographical or other error in the printing of the offer, the administration of the Contest, or any announcements related to the Contest or the Prize.
28. In no event shall the Contest Organizer be obligated to award more prizes than is set out in these Rules or to award prizes otherwise than in compliance with these Rules.
29. The Contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws and regulations. These Rules will be interpreted according to the laws of Ontario, Canada.
30. By entering this Contest, each entrant consents to the collection, use and distribution of their personal information (information that identifies an entrant as an individual, such as their name, telephone number, age, address and e-mail address) by the Contest Organizer for the purposes of implementing, administering and fulfilling this Contest. The Contest Organizer will not sell or transmit this information to third parties except for the purposes of administering this Contest. Any inquiries or concerns concerning the personal information held by the Contest Organizer should be addressed to the Contest Organizer’s General Counsel at 5312 Dundas Street West, Toronto, Ontario M9B 1B3 or via email at privacy@evanov.ca.
31. In the event of any discrepancy or inconsistency between the terms and conditions of these Rules and disclosures or other statements contained in any Contest-related materials, including but not limited to the Contest entry form, or point of sale, radio, television, print or online advertising, the terms and conditions of the Rules shall prevail, govern and control.
32. All intellectual property, including but not limited to trade-marks, trade-names, logos, designs, promotional materials, web pages, source codes, drawings, illustrations, slogans and representations are owned by the Contest Organizer, and/or its affiliates. All rights are reserved. Unauthorized copying or use of any copyrighted material or intellectual property without the express written consent of its owner is strictly prohibited.
