In the wake of the horrifying mass shooting at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, TX, on May 24 where 19 students and 2 teachers were killed and 17 people injured, Harry Styles is partnering with the nonprofit Everytown For Gun Safety to donate $1 million in proceeds from his “Love on Tour” to fight for an end to gun violence. Live Nation will match his donation. The nonprofit founded by Julianne Moore is the largest gun violence prevention organization in America.
Styles posted a statement on Instagram with the caption “End gun violence” and went to say “Along with all of you, I have been absolutely devastated by the recent string of mass shootings in America, culminating at the latest in Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas. On Our North American tour we will be partnering with Everytown who work to end gun violence, donating to support their efforts, and sharing their suggested action items.”
Live Nation posted on their Instagram “Live Nation is proud to join Harry Styles in matching his donation to Everytown for Gun Safety Support Fund—equalling over $1 million and counting.”
Harry Styles is scheduled to play 2 shows in Toronto at Scotiabank Arena August 15 and 16.
