Everything is going according to plan for our global ambassador. Toronto’s very own Drake is making history on the Billboard chart with his hit song “God’s Plan” which is also currently Number 1 on the Z1035 Hit 20 Countdown heard every Saturday and Sunday at 9am with Scott Fox. Drizzy is the first male solo lead performer to achieve two 10-week chart toppers on the Billboard Hot 100. God’s Plan made it’s debut at Number 1 in January 2018 and it’s still on top of the musical mountain. Drake’s “One Dance,” featuring WizKid and Kyla held on to the top spot for 10 weeks in 2016. The achievement stands separate from male acts including Boyz II Men and the Black Eyed Peas — and solo featured artist Pharrell, who holds two 10-week top songs, once with Robin Thicke’s “Blurred Lines” in 2013 and with his song “Happy” also released in 2013. Drake missed out scoring a 10 week milestone when “Work” with Rihanna in 2016 was knocked out of the Number 1 position after nine weeks by “Panda” from Desiigner.
