About Support the Blazer Foundation
Nick Regina, the visionary CEO and co-founder of Spark Financial Group, launched the “Support the Shirt” campaign in 2022. The idea originated from an unexpected experience during a trip when his luggage was lost at the airport. Left with only a vibrant floral shirt, Nicholas embraced the situation, wearing it everywhere from swimming and dining to even showering.
This lighthearted incident inspired the now renowned “Support the Blazer” campaign, blending creativity with philanthropy. That same year, Nick successfully raised $9,200 in support of the Canadian Cancer Society, showcasing his innovative approach to making a meaningful impact.
In 2023 the Support the Blazer campaign, was a tremendous success in partnership with Million Dollar Smiles, a charity dedicated to supporting children with life threatening illnesses and special needs. Through the generosity of our community, we raised $23,322, surpassing expectations and making a tangible difference in the life of a child with a rare genetics condition, Dyskeratosis Congenita, which causes bone marrow failure.
In 2024 we are thrilled to share that we didn’t just hit our goal of $100,000, we surpassed it, raising an amazing $102,498.61 for Waves of Changes for Autism, an amazing charity that supports children with autism in Vaughan.
This wouldn’t have been possible without the incredible support of our community and the generosity of everyone who donated and shared our mission. Join the 2nd Annual Gala – Support the Blazer Campaign Grand Finale
Presented by Z103.5, Cultto & the Spark Charity Foundation
Join us on Saturday, October 18 at Terrace Banquet Hall for an unforgettable evening as we celebrate the grand finale of the Support the Blazer Campaign and work together to reach our $1 million goal for Ronald McDonald House Charities Toronto and other local charities.
This elegant gala-meets-nightclub experience features an open bar, a gourmet plated dinner, and midnight snacks to keep the celebration going. Guests will enjoy an incredible lineup of entertainment with DJs Mark Zinga, DJ Danny D, and Manzone & Strong, along with the dynamic hosting of The Hammer and Tony Monaco.
Doors open at 5:30pm, followed by dinner and announcements at 7:00pm. The party ignites at 8:45pm with Mark Zinga, continues at 9:45pm with DJ Danny D, and peaks at 10:30pm with Manzone & Strong.
