Scrappy Doo is back!
After nearly 3 months in the Shelter, Scrappy Doo was adopted and finally got a glimpse of the life he’d been waiting for- a family, a home, and a place to belong.
Unfortunately, the match wasn’t the right fit, and is a reminder that adoption takes time. Many dogs need weeks or even months to fully settle into their new environment. The 3-3-3 rule teaches us that dogs often need 3 days to decompress, 3 weeks to learn routines and 3 months to truly feel at home and show their full personality.
Scrappy is so deserving of a family willing to give him that chance.
Meet Scrappy Doo!
Scrappy Doo is a handsome five-year-old German Shepherd with a big personality, a brilliant mind, and an even bigger heart. This intelligent boy thrives on human companionship and loves having a job to do. Whether he's mastering new commands, showing off his impressive training skills, or simply staying close to his favorite people, Scrappy is happiest when he's engaged and included in the action. And if you've got a tennis ball in hand, you've already won him over!
True to his breed, Scrappy Doo is incredibly smart, eager to learn, and loves mental and physical challenges. He would make an excellent companion for someone with experience handling German Shepherds or other large working breeds who can provide the structure, enrichment, and activity he enjoys. In return, Scrappy will reward his family with unwavering loyalty, affection, and companionship.
Scrappy Doo prefers to be the center of attention and is looking for a home where he can be the only pet. He does not do well living with other dogs or cats, so a pet-free environment is essential to help him thrive.
If you're looking for a loyal best friend who's always ready for an adventure, a game of fetch, or a new challenge to conquer, Scrappy could be the perfect addition to your family.
He will go home neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, and with a supply of Royal Canin food to help make his transition into his new home as smooth as possible.
Think Scrappy Doo could be your perfect match? Come meet him today!

With temperatures heating again this week, it's the perfect time to remember that pets and hot cars never mix.
Even on a warm day, the temperature inside a parked vehicle can rise to dangerous levels in just minutes—even if the windows are cracked. Leaving your pet in a vehicle for "just a few minutes" can quickly become life-threatening, putting them at risk of heat exhaustion or fatal heatstroke.
Help keep your furry family members safe by leaving them at home if they can't come inside with you. Make sure they have access to fresh water, shade, and a cool place to rest, and avoid walks during the hottest parts of the day.
Visit NoHotPets.ca to take the No Hot Pets Pledge and commit to protecting pets from the dangers of hot vehicles. As a thank you, you'll be entered for a chance to win a YETI prize pack!
This summer, be their hero. No Hot Pets—because a parked car is never a safe place for your pet.
