The Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (CARAS) announced today The JUNO Awards are returning to Atlantic Canada, making their second visit to Halifax in March 2024.
The historical port city on Canada’s east coast boasts an eclectic and storied music scene that is primed to welcome Canada’s largest celebration of music.
Halifax will host JUNO Week events starting March 20 and wrappiong with the 53rd Annual JUNO Awards at Scotiabank Centre on Sunday, March 24, 2024.
The JUNO Awards are being held in Nova Scotia’s capital for the first time since 2006 when Pamela Anderson hosted the ceremony.
The JUNO Festivities return with the support of the Province of Nova Scotia, Halifax Regional Municipality, and the 2024 Host Committee.

The 2023 JUNO AWARDS are this Monday March 13th at Rogers Place in Edmonton Alberta hosted by Simu Liu and Nickelback will be inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame. Ryan Reynolds will make a virtual appearance to honor Nickelback for their contributions to Canadian music. Connor McDavid, NHL All-Star and Edmonton Oilers’ captain, will be there to honour the band in-person. Nickelback will perform a medley of their hits.
Shawn Mendes will receive an International Achievement Award.
The 2023 Junos will put the spotlight on the 50th anniversary of hip-hop. Kardinal Offishall will co-host the Hip Hop celebration with Haviah Mighty, who last year became the first woman to win the Juno Award for rap album/EP of the year. Choclair, Maestro Fresh Wes, Dream Warriors, TOBi, Michie Mee sceduled to perform.
Other perfromers include AlexisOnFire, Tate McRae, Jessie Reyez, Reve, Banx & Ranx, Preston Pablo and others are sceduled to perfrom.
Avril Lavigne, Jessie Reyez, Tyler Shaw and other are scheduled presenters
