Actor Bruce Willis has been diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia his family announced on Thursday.
Willis, last spring, was diagnosed with aphasia which causes difficulties with a person’s ability to speak. Over the last year, it had progressed further and has been given an official diagnosis.
In December of 2022, Willis ex-wife, Demi Moore posted to social media a Christmas photo with Willis and their children.
His family is relieved to have a clearer diagnosis of what he is going through. Unfortunately, this form of dementia is most common for people under the age of 60. The family appreciates all the support and love through this challenging time.
Right now, there are no treatments for frontotemporal dementia. Willis will turn 68 on March 15.
