– Daily Bread Food Bank is a member-based organization providing food to 207 food programs at 132 agencies across Toronto, including food banks and drop-in meal programs.
– 1 in 10 people in Toronto are relying on food banks, up from 1 in 20 last year.
– Last year, there were over to 2.53 million food bank visits in Toronto, a 51% increase compared to the year prior.
– Food bank visits across Toronto increased by nearly 51% in 2023 compared to the year prior. This level of growth is unprecedented.

All the food dropped off at this location will be sent to the Mississauga Salvation Army.
About:
Since its inception in 1974, Mississauga Community and Family Services has been a source of help and support for the community.
In 1974, over 200 families made requests at the Temple office. That year, Community and Family Services gave furniture to 141 families, food vouchers and parcels to 129 families, and counselling of various types to 65 families or individuals. The strength of Mississauga Temple’s Family Services department was already well established.
Forty years on, that strength and desire to assist the local community remains strong. Currently, we offer these programs:
