Selling Sunset sensation Amanza Smith recently marked her 47th birthday with an extravagant celebration at Beauty & Essex in Hollywood, California, on December 12. The star, who faced a life-threatening health scare earlier in the year, pulled out all the stops to commemorate her special day with a pearls and petals themed event, courtesy of celebrity event planner Lisa Lafferty.
In an exclusive statement to Page Six, Smith shared her gratitude for life, emphasizing the significance of the celebration following a challenging period. Diagnosed with osteomyelitis—a rare and serious bone infection—in June, she spent a month in the hospital, undergoing two spine surgeries.
Amanza praised the work of Lisa Lafferty Events for seamlessly bringing her birthday party vision to life, from concept to execution.
The birthday extravaganza offered guests a unique experience, featuring a tooth gem artist to adorn pearly whites, a palm reader, and three custom cocktails curated by Smith herself. The drink menu included the enticing “I Love Hot Moms” with tequila, mezcal, and strawberries, the sophisticated “Sorry I’m Late, I Didn’t Wanna Come” with vodka and St. Germain liqueur, and the refreshing “Black Don’t Crack” with tequila, smoked blackberries, honey, and ginger.
Famous friends and co-stars, including Chrishell Stause, Mary Fitzgerald, Emma Hernan, Chelsea Lazkani, Jason Oppenheim, and Brett Oppenheim, joined the festivities. The upcoming eighth season of the Netflix hit show, Selling Sunset, was also in the spotlight as cameras rolled, capturing some heated moments among the cast.
Smith, surrounded by her loved ones, stood beside a stunning three-tier white cake adorned with edible pearls to deliver her heartfelt message. As she blew out the candles, Jason Oppenheim took a moment to share a few words, adding a personal touch to the joyous occasion.
The presence of Smith’s two children, daughter Noah and son Braker Brown, added to the family-oriented atmosphere. Braker was seen smiling alongside his mom, who showered him with kisses on the cheek, completing the picture of a triumphant celebration filled with love, laughter, and resilience.
