Congrats to Auston Matthews who scored a HAT TRICK in the season and home opener for the Toronto Maple Leafs who defeated the Montreal Canadiens 6-5 in a shootout at the Scotiabank Arena.

Matthews scored his 300th goal last night and achieved the milestone in 482 games faster than an other US born player. The previous record was held by Pat LaFontaine who scored 300 in 549 games.
The Buds face the Wild Saturday night at the SBA and the Habs will look for their first win as they host Connor Bedard and the Chicago Blackhawks at the Bell Centre in Montreal.
