WWE’s “Friday Night SmackDown” will return to the USA Network in October 2024 as part of a five-year domestic media rights partnership between TKO Group Holdings and NBCUniversal
The deal is $287 million per year, a total value of over $1.4 billion.
As part of the new WWE will also produce 4 prime-time specials per year to air on NBC.
NBC’s streaming service Peacock will continue to carry all WWE’s Premium Live Events. (Formerly Pay Per Views/PPV)

Last Friday Finally THE ROCK electrified and came back to WWE in Denver that drew the second highest ratings of the year on FOX. No word on whether The People’s Champ’s appearance was a one off cameo or stick around to cut a few more promos and get involved in storylines during the Hollywood Actors and Writers strike. John Cena is currently back with the company for a few months appearing on Friday nights during September and October.
“SmackDown” has been on Fox since October 2019, with a rights agreement for $205 million per year in a five-year deal. The new agreement is roughly a 40% increase. “SmackDown” last appeared on USA Network from 2016 to 2019.
