Halle Berry is now speaking out…and she is mad.
Ok, so this is the deal, Drake has a new single “Slime You Out” and he wanted to use a picture of Halle getting slimed back in 2012 at the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards.
Drake reached out to Halle and she said no. Now, the actual photo is owned my Getty Images, so technically Drake didn’t have to get Halle’s permission, he would just have to pay Getty Images for authorization to use the photo, but he wanted to make a courtesy call, which was nice.
Despite Halle saying no to using the photo, Drake choose to move forward and actually use the pic.
Drake posted the same single cover on his Instagram. After the single was released, Berry shared on her Instagram post of a pink square with the words “Sometimes you have to be the bigger guy…even if you’re a woman!” on it. In the comment section, an artist who goes by “slicartist” asked the actress what her thoughts were about Drake using the photo of her for the single. “Didn’t get my permission,” she wrote. “That’s not cool I thought better of him !” She then followed up that comment with another one, adding, “hence my post today. When people you admire disappoint you you have to be the bigger person and move on !”
