The 75th Annual Prime Time Emmy Awards are scheduled for Monday September 18th live from the Peacock Theatre in LA on FOX but might not happen if the current writers strike continues in Hollywood.
“Succession” wrapped up after 4 incredible seasons earning a whopping 27 nominations followed by “The Last Of Us’ with 24 in its first season. “The White Lotus” got 23 in its second season and “Ted Lasso” with 21 nods in its third and final season. “Wednesday” picked up 12 nominations “Barry” with 11, “Only Murders in the Building” 11, the final season of “Better Call Saul” with 7 and “Obi-Wan Kenobi” with 5 nominations.
HBO/Max led all other platforms with 127 total nominations, while Netflix was second with 103. All others finished well behind the two leaders. Apple TV+ was third with 46 nods, while Hulu and Prime Video got 42 each. Disney+ had 40.
In typical fashion just like the series three Succession actors will battle each other in the best actor category including Brian Cox, Jeremy Strong and Kieran Culkin.
