Madonna provided an update on her health after putting her “Celebration Tour” on pause after being hospitalized with a bacterial infection last month. She was found laying unconscious at her residence on June 28th. Many people close to Madonna felt she was pushing to hard in order to prepare for her tour with non stop rehearsals and lack of sleep.
The 64 year old Material Girl will continue to focus on her health and hopes she will be strong enough to start her European leg of the Tour in October.
The North American dates will be resceduled for a later tiem. She was scheduled to kick off her tour July 15th in Vancouver and two shows in Toronto in August.
On Sunday Her Majesty was spotted spending a hot day with a friend in the upper East Side neighbourhood of New York City. Reports said she looked happy and enthusiastic, and walking on her own.
All of us at Z1035 are wishing Madonna a full recovery and hopefully back on the road when she is mentally and physically ready.
Madonna posted the following statement on her social media platforms:
“Thank you for your positive energy, prayers and words of healing and encouragement. I have felt your love.
“I’m on the road to recovery and incredibly grateful for all the blessings in my life.
“My second thought was that I did not want to disappoint anyone who bought tickets for my tour. I also didn’t want to let down the people who worked tirelessly with me over the last few months to create my show. I hate to disappoint anyone.
“My focus now is my health and getting stronger and I assure you, I’ll be back with you as soon as I can!
“The current plan is to reschedule the North American leg of the tour and to begin in October in Europe.”
“I couldn’t be more grateful for your care and support.”
Love, M
