The posthumously presented star at 6212 Hollywood Blvd was accepted by 2Pac’s sister Sekyiwa “Set” Shakur in the Recording category.
“Today, we aren’t just honoring a star on the sidewalk; we are honoring the very essence of a person who fearlessly pursued his dreams and fought to turn them into reality. This is Tupac’s moment — the culmination of years of dedication and passion. Even before the world recognized his name, he dreamed of having a star on the iconic Hollywood Walk of Fame and today, the unveiling of Tupac’s star not only pays tribute to his contributions to the entertainment industry but also speaks volumes about his lasting impact, even after 25 years. I couldn’t be prouder of my brother to watch his star now shine even brighter.”
Sekyiwa also said “It fills my heart with honor to stand here today representing the Shakur family. Tupac knew deep down that he was always meant for something great. And as his little sister, I had the privilege to watch that greatness unfold.”
