WE ARE TORONTO…..WE ARE 26! The countdown to World Cup 2026 in Canada, USA and Mexico is on!

The 2026 FIFA World Cup will be the 23rd installment starting in June 2026 with the final game on July 19, 2026 and will be jointly hosted by 16 cities in 3 North American countries for ther first time including Canada, Mexico and USA.
For the first time the FIFA World Cup will include 48 teams, an expansion by 16 compared with the previous 7 tournaments. The teams will be split in 12 groups of 4 teams, with the top two of each group and the eight best third-placed teams progressing to a new round of 32.
Argentina are the reigning Champions and won their 3rd World Cup in December 2022 with a victory over France in Qatar. The game was tied 3-3 after full time and extra time. Lionel Messi and Argentina won 4-2 on penalty kicks.
