“DUNGEONS & DRAGONS” Knockout JOHN WICK from The Top Spot at the Weekend Box Office:
The role playing game adaptation “Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves”opened with $38.5 million in U.S. and Canadian movie theaters over the weekend and stole the top spot from “John Wick: Chapter 4.”
The fantasy heist action comedy film directed by Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley is set in the Forgotten Realms campaign setting and has no connections to the film trilogy released between 2000 and 2012.
The film stars Chris Pine, Michelle Rodriguez, Regé-Jean Page, Justice Smith, Sophia Lillis and Hugh Grant.
