The Next major Premium Live Event after WRESTLEMANIA 39 is BACKLASH in May in Puerto Rico for the first time since 2005!
WWE announced that the 2 time GRAMMY Award Winning and global recording artist BAD BUNNY will host BACKLASH on Saturday, May 6th live from the Coliseo de Puerto Rico José Miguel Agrelot in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

Bad Bunny said “In 2005 when I was a kid, I wasn’t able to attend New Year’s Revolution at el Coliseo. Finally, 18 years later WWE returns to the island with a massive event and this time I won’t miss it.”
WWE Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque said “We’re excited to bring Backlash to San Juan as the demand for WWE premium live events outside of the continental United States continues to grow. Bad Bunny is one of the world’s most-popular entertainers and nowhere is that more evident than in his native Puerto Rico.”
Bad Bunny is a huge fan of WWE and has made multiple appearances with the biggest brand in sports entertainment. In 2021, he performed his track “Booker T,” whose video stars the wrestling legend and WWE commentator of the same name, at the ROYAL RUMBLE. Later that night he distracted The Miz and John Morrison, leading them to be eliminated from the Royal Rumble match. Bad Bunny jumped from the top rope of the ring onto both wrestlers ringside.
In February 2021, Bad Bunny captured the WWE’s 24/7 Championship but a month later relinquished the title to R-Truth in exchange for memorabilia of WWE Hall of Famer “Stone Cold” Steve Austin.
At WrestleMania 37 in Tampa, Florida, Bad Bunny and Damian Priest defeated The Miz and Morrison and electrified the crowd with his impressive ring skills.
I’m looking forward to seeing BAD BUNNY host and possibly get invovled in one of the storylines in his homeland of Puerto Rico.
WWE also announced the return to Saudi Arabia for the King and Queen of the Ring Premium Live Event at the Jeddah Superdome on Saturday May 27th.
Fresh off the heels of a house show on March 4th at the Coca-Cola Coliseum, WWE returns to Toronto with Friday Night Smackdown on August 18th live at the Scotiabank Arena.
