RCMP have recovered some old Wayne Gretzky hockey jerseys and memorabilia from a home in Shellbrook, Saskatchewan.
There has been an investigation into this since April of 2022. It was reported from RCMP that $100,000 worth of the memorabilia stolen from a home in Saskatchewan between November 2021 and March 2022.
The theft didn’t stop there though. They recovered about three-quarters of the memorabilia and on top of that, recovered previously stole items such as a snowmobile, trailer and a pickup truck.
RCMP has charged a 41-year old man with possession of stolen property over $5000. Here are the items that were stolen.
- 19 stolen Gretzky jerseys
- autographed large Gretzky pictures and a large painting
- autographed sticks
- autographed pucks all in display cases
- close to 10,000 cards, including 2,200 of Gretzky, some autographed and one framed Gretzky PSA 8 rookie card
- 1979 Mattel dolls still in boxes
- figurines, some of which were autographed
- Team Canada autographed photos
The man is scheduled to appear in court on April 4th this year.
