The previous record for a Kobe Bryant jersey sale was set during his 1996-1997 NBA season. The jersey was sold at auction for $3.7 million.
Sotheby’s, which auctioned off this jersey, estimated it to be worth between $5 and $7 million.
In September, the same business sold off Michael Jordan’s “The Last Dance” jersey for $10.1 million.
