The internet is buzzing over BEYONCE’s performance in Dubai!
Some are happy Queen B is back on the stage after 4 years while others are not pleased that the icon chose to do a show in Dubai where same sex relationships are illegal and punishable by imprisonment and death. Beyonce is a leader and huge supporter of LGBTQIA+ so the decision to play in Dubai is controversial and goes against what she has previously preached and stood for. Media outlets have reached out to her for a statement.
Reports say Beyonce was paid $24 Million for a 90 minute performance at Atlantis The Royal Hotel Grand Opening. 1500 people attended the private performance but fans were banned from using their cell phones but clearly some still did,
11 year Old Blue Ivy joined her mom on stage dancing with a mic in hand but did not sing. Beyonce announced that Jay Z and her parents were at the concert too.
According to Page 6 Beyonce kicked off the show Saturday night with the Etta James classic “At Last” aswell as Crazy In Love, Halo and Beautiful Liar but she did not perform any tracks from her Renaissance album. LGB Alliance is disappointed and accused Beyonce of hypocricity considering her latest album is a celebratrion of gay culture featuring some of the LGBT community’s biggest name.
Reports say she plans on touring this summer and possibly more mew music on the way as she previously stated before that Renaissance was a 3-Act Project conceived during the Covid-19 pandemic.
