Madonna fans are celebrating the announcement of her Celebration Tour and now the ICON is making history on the cover of 3 different European editions of Vanity Fair.
A collaboration between the Italian, French and Spanish versions of the glossy in full Virgin Mary mode, decked out in a gilded Dolce & Gabbana headpiece and vintage veil.
Madonna’s 2 day cover shoot with photographers Luigi & Iango involved a crew of more than 80 people, was styled by her longtime collaborator B. Åkerlund and sawher dressing up in designs by John Galliano for Maison Margiela, Gucci, Jean Paul Gaultier and more according to Page 6
The “Icon Issue” celebrates legends who “contributes to shape the modern culture.”
In an exclusive interview Madonna talks about feminism, sexuality, religion and diversity, with a focus on her career-long battle against the patriarchy and the price she’s had to pay for sticking to her guns over the past four decades in the public eye.
Madonna embarks on a 35 city Live Nation produced tour kicking off July 15 at Rogers Arena in Vancouver, BC with a stop in Toronto at the Scotiabank Arena on August 13 and wraps up in Amsterdam on December 1.
Madonna also announced she’s working on a long over due BIOPIC “I’m about to create another show, and I’ve been working for several years on the screenplay about my life. This is a good time for me — I’m gathering ideas, getting inspired, hanging out with creative people, watching films, seeing art, listening to music.” No word on a release date as of yet.
