We were the Underdogs against the back to back Champions Winnipeg Blue Bombers but Anything Can Happen On Any Given Sunday!
The ARGOS have won every GREY CUP they have appeared in since 1991! 7 Straight Victories! The last time they lost in the BIG Canadian Game was in 1987 against the Edmonton Eskimos.
The Boatmen shocked the Blue Bombers with a 24-23 win on Sunday night at Mosaic Stadium at Taylor Field in Regina. Backup quarterback Chad Kelly came off the bench in the fourth quarter and engineered a five-play, 36-yard drive AJ Ouellette capped. Kelly is the nephew of former NFL star Jim Kelly, replaced veteran McLeod Bethel-Thompson, who suffered a dislocated right thumb.

Bethel Thompson said “I wanted to go back in but if I were to cock and throw, (the ball) would pop out” MBT earned a Grey Cup ring with Toronto in 2017 as Ricky Ray’s backup. “My ego was, ‘I want to be out there, I want to make the game-winning pass. But success doesn’t matter if it’s yours or your brothers’. I’m so happy for Chad, I’m so happy for these guys. We’re all champions, man, it’s been a beautiful journey.” Canadian defensive lineman Robbie Smith blocked a field goal with less than a minute remaining to seal the deal and championship!
