The screams of fear could be heard this weekend at the Box Office.
Paramount’s horror film “SMILE” was #1 in North American and took in $22 Million Dollars.Once you see it, it’s too late! After witnessing a bizarre, traumatic incident involving a patient, Dr. Rose Cotter played by Sosie Bacon starts experiencing frightening occurrences that she can’t explain. As an overwhelming terror begins taking over her life, Rose must confront her troubling past in order to survive and escape her horrifying new reality.
“Don’t Worry Darling” starring Harry Styles and Olivia Wilde was #2 with $7.3 Million, “The Woman King” was third with 7 Million, the romantic comedy “Bros” debuted with $4.8 Million in fourth place and the re-release of the original Avatar was 5th with $4.6 Million.
Box Office Pro reported $62.1 Million total this weekend which is:
- Less than +1% above last weekend’s total ($61.8M), when Don’t Worry Darling led with $19.5M.
- +60% above the equivalent weekend in 2021 ($38.7M), when Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings led for a fourth consecutive frame with $13.0M.
