We got our first look of Halle Bailey as Ariel in the upcoming live action adaptation of the 1989 classic, The Little Mermaid.
Please, don’t get Halle Bailey mixed up with Halle Berry like some of the internet has since its release.
In one Tweet (since deleted), one Twitter user wrote, “Halle Berry is nearly 60 playing the role of a 16-year-old girl. This is what happens when you upset a fandom.”
Now, back to the movie which will be out in May of next year…
15 year old Canadian, Jacob Tremblay, will voice Flounder and Awkwafina voices Scuttle. Melissa McCarthy will play Ursula but, we don’t see her in this trailer.
