Weird: The Al Yankovic Story starring Daniel Radcliffe explores the life and career of parody singer and musician “Weird Al” Yankovic.
Back in 70’s and 80’s his parody tracks were hilarious and iconic with covers and spoofs of tracks with his signature accordion including “My Bologna (My Sharona – The Knack) “Eat It” (Beat It – Michael Jackson) “I Love Rocky Road” (I Love Rock N Roll – Joan Jett) ‘Like A Surgeon” (Like A Virgin – Madonna) and one of my favs was “I Lost On Jeopardy” a cover of The Greg Kihn Band.
The trailer released by the ROKU streaming service shows Yankovic singing “My Bologna,” a parody of the Knacks’ classic hit song “My Sharona,” for his friends and shows Madonna approaching AL to cover her hit song “Like A Virgin”
Rainn Wilson, Toby Huss, Julianne Nicholson and Quinta Brunson also star.
The movie hits ROKU Channel and streams for FREE on November 4th.
