40 year old Britney Spears and 75 year old Elton John have reportedly recorded a new version of EJ’s classic hit ‘Tiny Dancer.’
“Tiny Dancer” was written by Elton John and Bernie Taupin released on the 1971 album, “Madman Across the Water” and released as a single in 1972.
Reports say Britney met with Elton and Andrew Watt at a Beverly Hills recording studio last week to work on a new version to be released sometime next month by Universal Music.
A source told Page Six: “This was Elton’s idea, and Britney is a huge fan. They have recorded a remix of ‘Tiny Dancer’ as a full duet — and it is incredible. Britney was in the studio in Beverly Hills last week with Elton for the super-secret recording session overseen by uber-producer Andrew Watt. They’ve already played it for people at their record label, and everybody is freaking out. It is so good. They are saying this is going to be the song of the summer.”
Andrew Watt has produced tracks for Justin Bieber, Ed Sheeran, Post Malone, Dua Lipa, Miley Cyrus, Pearl Jam, Ozzy Osbourne and more. Watt won the 2021 Grammy Award for Producer of the Year Non Classical.
Below is the original version of the song building on Elton John and Bernie Taupin’s Californian inspiration, Max Weiland filmed a video for ‘Tiny Dancer” that reflects on life in Los Angeles from a dozen different perspectives. The Cut, proudly supported by YouTube, invited filmmakers to create the first official music videos for three of Elton’s most famous songs
