New Zealander Scott Dixon born in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia loves his fellow Commonwealth Country Canada and won the Honda Indy Toronto during the Roar on the Lakeshore and the grounds of Exhibition Place on Sunday July 17, 2022.
It was the first NTT IndyCar Race in Toronto since Simon Pagenaud won 2019. The race was cancelled in 2020 and 2021 because of the Covid-19 pandemic.
It’s the Iceman’s 4th in “THE 6” and his 52nd career victory which ties him with the legendary Mario Andretti for the 2nd most wins ever.
The all time leader is AJ Foyt with 67 wins in Indy Car Series.
Dixon previously won in Toronto 2018 and ended his 22 race winless streak on Sunday.
