CONGRATS to The AVS The 2021-2022 Stanley Cup Champions! 🏆 I have a feeling all the players and organization and AVS Nation is asking Alexa to play Queen’;s iconic anthem “We Are The Champions” on repeat!
For the first time in 21 years and 3rd time in franchise history The Colorado Avalanche are the Stanley Cup Champions! 🏆🏆🏆

Artturi Lehkonen lost in the Finals last year with the Montreal Canadiens but Sunday night Lucky Lehky was the hero with what proved to be the winning goal in a 2-1 victory in Game 6 in Tampa Bay. Nathan Mackinnon scored the first goal for the AVS and Stamkos scored for TBL in the losing effort.

Former Maple Leafs forward Nazem kadri has had a polarizing and controversial career but Sunday night he got the last laugh! In a post game interview on CBC/Sportsnet Kadri thanked his longtime supporters in Ontario and sent a stern message to his haters “For anyone that thought I was a liability in the playoffs, you can KISS MY A**!” I think if this hockey thing doesn’t work out Kadri has a bright future cutting promos as a WWE Superstar!

Later Nazem talked about the feeling of winning the Cup with his family in the building in Tampa and said he was “looking to celebrate tonight!” I’m sure he and his teammates did! Video from Instagram
Cale Makar was named MVP and won the CONN SMYTH TROPHY.

The back to back reign is over for The Tampa Bay Lightning but you have to applaud their effort competing for the Stanley Cup 3 seasons in a row. Coach Jon Cooper praised the The AVS and said his team and staff will be back to challenge for the Cup again.
Corey Perry is the first player to lose in the Stanley Cup Final 3 straight years with 3 different teams including the Stars, Habs and Bolts.
Enjoy the summer everybody and we look forward to the return of the NHL in October!
