BET AWARDS WINNERS
The BET AWARDS celebrate African Americans in music, movies, sports and entertainment. The 22nd Annual Awards show was hosted by Taraji P Henson Sunday night at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.
Bruno Mars accepted the prize for Album Of The Year for ‘An Evening With Silk Sonic’ and was joined onstage by songwriter/producer D’Mile in place of his musical partner Anderson .Paak who was out of the country and couldn’t attend. Silk Sonic also took home the Best Group Award.

Doja Cat was the year’s leading nominee with 6 nods, followed by Drake and Ari Lennox with 4 but all 3 artists were shutout.
Lil nas X has been very vocal about for being completely snubbed and didn’t receive a nomination at the BET Awards. Jack Harlow showed his support for his “Industry Baby” collaborator last night by wearing a Lil Nas X t-shirt on the red carpet.
Toronto’s very own The Weeknd was chosen as the best male R&B artist and Justin Bieber won Best collaboration for “Essence” with Wizkid & Tems

Despite the controversial incident at the Oscars Will Smith won Best Actor for “King Richard” and was awarded “Best Movie”
