Disney & Marvel’s ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ is headed for a domestic opening weekend of around $233-250 million. That number follows $39 million in Thursday night previews, the best Marvel preview number ever, followed by a further $60 million or so on Friday!
This marks the biggest film ever to premiere at the end of April and one of only six films EVER to open north of $200M. Whether it will grab the top spot is still a mystery at this point. Overseas the film has already banked $95 million in it’s first 48 (Wednesday & Thursdsay). Currently the film sits at 84% and 7.5/10 on Rotten Tomatoes which puts it tenth overall in terms of MCU film T-Meter scores. On Metacritic it sits at 68/100, putting it just behind the first ‘Avengers’ (69) but ahead of the second (66).
