Two Break And Enters Have Orangeville Police Searching For The Suspect

Police in Orangeville got a call last Sunday for several broken windows at the County of Dufferin Community Services building located at 30 Centre Street. A male entered the building at 12:20 a.m .carrying a sledge hammer and long bar. The suspect damaged several pieces of electronic and computer equipment in the main resource area.
On Tuesday February 6, 2018, police received a report that the Beer Store, located at 270 Broadway, had also been broken into shortly after 1 a.m. Sunday morning. A male broke a glass panel in the main entry door and removed a small quantity of alcoholic beverages. Footage from store video cameras revealed this suspect to be the same person responsible for the break and enter at 30 Centre Street.
The Beer Store security video footage shows the suspect as a white male, wearing a ¾ length leather coat, beige long-cuff work gloves, Bruins style hockey jersey, park pants and a knitted winter toque.
Security cameras at The Beer Store captured the suspect arriving and leaving the scene on a very distinctive bicycle. The bicycle frame is described as an “old school” look with a chrome headlight. Attached to the bicycle was a trailer with a bright green storage bag and a single rear wheel. The suspect left the area at 1:15 a.m. in an unknown direction.
