TTC Subway Service To Vaughan Will Begin December 17

Here’s some good news for those in York Region. You will soon be able to take the Subway to and from Vaughan. The TTC has announced that service on the Toronto – York – Spadina Subway Extension will begin on December 17, 2017. YorkRegion.com reports Construction on the multi-billion-dollar connection between the Vaughan Metropolitan Centre station (at Jane Street and Hwy. 7) was plagued by delays and cost overruns. The 8.6-kilometre extension is the longest in almost 40 years and will connect with York Region’s VIVA and potential GO Transit services along Hwy. 407.
