Toronto Mayoral Candidate Faith Goldy Is Suing Bell Media For Not Airing Her Campaign Ads

A controversial Toronto mayoral candidate known for her extreme views has sued Bell Media alleging the company breached her right to free expression after refusing to air her campaign advertisements. Faith Goldy wants the court to order the broadcaster to run the ad until the October 22nd vote. Goldy alleges Bell Media initially agreed to air her campaign ad on its television station CP24 and accepted a deposit of more than $13,000 dollars, but later refunded her money and refused to run the ad. Bell Media did not immediately respond to the Canadian Press to a request for comment.
