The Michelle Hanson Case Has Been Put Over Until Later This Month

Yesterday Michelle Hanson did not personally appear in court for the first day of court proceedings into the death of her son, Kaden Young. Her lawyer’s request that the case be put over until Nov. 27 was granted. The lawyer also confirmed that the crown’s disclosure evidence has already been handed over. At her next appearance Hanson will be asked to choose if she wants to face trial by judge alone or by judge and jury. Last month she was charged with impaired driving causing death, dangerous driving causing death and criminal negligence causing death. Kaden died back on February 21st when Hanson allegedly drove past a road closure sign and her minivan was swept into the fast-moving Grand River near Grand Valley.
