The Humboldt Broncos GoFundMe Page Will Close Tomorrow

The GoFundMe campaign to help the families of the 16 people killed and the 13 survivors of this month’s bus crash involving the Humboldt Broncos hockey team will be closing tomorrow night. So far the campaign has raised nearly $12.2-million dollars. More than 130,000 individuals and businesses donated between $20 and $50,000. Humboldt Broncos president Kevin Garinger says the money will be transferred into a newly-created memorial fund. Starting Thursday, the team will accept donations to the new and broader Humboldt Strong Community Foundation. The $12 million raised through GoFundMe will help pay the expenses of the victims’ families.
