Steven Spielberg Is The First Director To Make $10 Billion At The Box Office

Steven Spielberg has become the first director to gross more than $10 billion at the box office. He is behind hits like Jurassic Park, Jaws, Indiana Jones and E.T. to name a few. Peter Jackson, Michael Bay and James Cameron – are all currently around the $6 billion figure.

1 Steven Spielberg – $10.009 billion

2 Peter Jackson – $6.520 billion

3 Michael Bay – $6.414 billion

4 James Cameron – $6.138 billion

5 David Yates – $5.346 billion

Box Office Mojo reports that Spielberg’s latest effort, Ready Player One – which stars Olivia Cooke and Tye Sheridan – has taken the director across the monetary threshold.
