Shelburne Police Wrap up Intersection Blitz

During the week of May 7th to May 13th the Shelburne Police Service held a traffic enforcement blitz targeting intersections that are controlled by traffic lights and stop signs.  During this week long initiative approximately 27 hours, over and above regular patrol and enforcement, were dedicated to intersections.  This initiative proved to be very successful with the following breakdown of infractions:

Red Light – Fail to Stop:  6 Provincial Offence Notices

Amber Light – Fail to Stop:  1 Provincial Offence Notice and 3 cautions

Disobey Stop Sign – Fail to Stop:  5 Provincial Offence Notices and 7 cautions

Disobey Lane Light:  2 Provincial Offence Notices

Fail to Yield to Pedestrian:   1 caution

Miscellaneous:  4 Provincial Offence Notices
