Scary New Stats On How Dangerous Tired Driving Can Be

A scary new statistic has been released: People who get behind the wheel of a car after less than four hours of sleep are as likely to be involved in a car crash a drunk drivers.  New research has found that drivers who reported getting less than four hours of shut-eye were 15 times more likely to get into an accident than those who got the recommended eight hours.  Additionally, these motorists had crash risks – like making mistakes on the road – similar to drivers with blood alcohol concentrations (BAC) of 0.12, which is 1.5 times the legal limit.
