Plane Crash In Caledon

A male is lucky to have suffered just minor injuries after the plane is was flaying crashed into power lines.

Emergency crews say the male pilot of a small plane suffered minor injuries when it struck power lines and landed in a field in Caledon on Wednesday afternoon.

The plane collided with power lines on Hwy 10 between King St. and Old School Rd just before 3 p.m. The Tech P92 Echo plane then landed on a field west of Hwy 10.

The pilot was checked out on scene by paramedic but was not taken to hospital.

Hydro crews were called to repair the power lines. The Transportation Safety Board has been called in to investigate.
