After a rematch with one of the most feared knockout artists in the sports history, Daniel Cormier is STILL the UFC 205lb champion.
Cormier submitted Anthony Johnson with a second-round rear-naked choke to retain the 205-pound championship at UFC 210’s headliner last night inside the KeyBank Center in Buffalo, New York. Johnson (22-6, 13-6 UFC) tapped at 3:37 into Round 2 and then promptly retired in a bizarre post-fight speech.
The event was shrouded in controversy from the onset, from the weigh-in’s to the co-main event featuring former Middleweight World Champion, Chris Weidman.
