Pepsi Goes Retro With Iconic Cans

Pepsi is going retro with the late great “King Of Pop” who passed away in 2009 and the legendary Ray Charles who died in 2004 and “The Queen Of Pop” Britney Spears who isvery much alive and well and still performing and popping Pepsi! The cola brand is is featuring their iconic images in the Pepsi Generations summer campaign on their 12-oz. cans available May 14. Pepsi is releasing limited-edition Pepsi and Diet Pepsi “icon cans” with each artist paired with the logos Pepsi used during their respective eras. The campaign also features music experiences and activations, including a concert event with Live Nation. Pepsi is recruiting fans to partake in their U.S. loyalty program, which will prompt customers to use consumer codes found on specially-marked Pepsi packaging to win free stuff as well as giveaways to summer shows like Lollapalooza, VMAs and Britney Spears’ forthcoming Pepsi-sponsored “Piece Of Me Tour.” Spears said “My partnership with Pepsi has always been really special to me. I’m so excited to be featured in the new Pepsi Generations Summer campaign. It’s fun, fresh and all about music. To be featured on a Pepsi can is such an honor, and I can’t wait to see my fans enjoying them!” Pepsi aired a “This Is The Pepsi” Generation commercial during Superbowl 52 in Minnesota where the Eagles defeated The Patriots 41-33.
