Water levels near Toronto Island aren’t moving as fast as Toronto officials thought, therefore some parts will be closed for the entire summer. The city says sections are expected to open July 31, but the date could move depending on mother nature.
High water levels have caused massive flooding and the Island has been closed to visitors so far. It’s really unfortunately for restaurants and businesses on the island that thrive on the busy summer season. The city says that businesses are missing out on as many 20,000 daily visitors during the summer closure.
