Orangeville School Teacher Charged With Assault

Orangeville Police have arrested and charged a 47-year-old female in connection to an assault involving a student at a local elementary school.
Back on Friday, April 8, 2017, a parent contacted Orangeville Police to report that his young son had been assaulted by a teacher while in class at St. Benedict Elementary School.
Assault charges were laid against the teacher as a result of the police investigation.
On Friday, May 12, 2017, Jennifer Lynn Peltier, 47, of Inglewood, was arrested and charged with one count of Assault. The accused female was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in Orangeville Court on June 13, 2017. The Dufferin Peel Catholic School Board says the teacher has been suspended with pay.
