Orangeville Police Seek Assistance with Stolen Boat Investigation

Orangeville Police Service is probing the public for information regarding the theft of a boat, motor and trailer from a Centre Street residence sometime between October 4th and 5th.

On Sunday, October 8, 2017, a man contacted police to report that his Legend boat with a Honda outboard motor and a Watermark trailer had been stolen from a Centre Street residence. According to police, the boat and trailer were last seen in the late afternoon of October 4th, but weren’t noticed missing until late afternoon the next day.

A second Honda outboard boat motor was reported stolen on Sunday, October 8th. The victim reported that the motor went missing sometime between 11 p.m. on October 7th and 9 a.m. the next day. The motor was taken right off a boat parked in the driveway of the man’s College Street residence.

Police are continuing their investigation and are asking to hear from anyone who may have information regarding the two incidents. Anyone with any tips is asked to contact Orangeville Police Service or Crime Stoppers.
