Orangeville Police is set to launch their fall RIDE campaign throughout Orangeville this weekend.
“Enforcement regarding impaired driving continues to be a priority for our service, in our ongoing efforts to ensure that our roads are safer for everyone,” said public and media relations officer, Constable Scott Davis.
Police are reminding citizens to plan ahead and make alternate arrangements to prevent drinking and driving. Arrangements such as choosing a designated driver, calling a taxi or arranging for a friend or family member to pick you up are all great alternatives to drinking and driving.
Police are also continuing to encourage the public to call 911 when they see a suspected impaired driver. Keeping our roads safe is a shared responsibility and police often receive reports of suspected impaired drivers from other motorists.
