Orangeville Man Arrested for Impaired Driving After Crashing into Bush

A 26-year-old man from Orangeville has been charged with impaired driving after he crashed into a bush in the front yard of a home on Northgate Drive early Saturday morning.

Just before 3 a.m. on October 7, 2017, Orangeville Police received a call that a car had crashed into a bush and landscaping rock. The car was travelling east on Forest Park Drive but failed to negotiate the curve onto southbound Northgate Drive, leaving the road and ending up in the yard of the home.

As a result of the investigation, police arrested and charged the driver with Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle and Failing to Provide a Breath Sample. The man’s driver’s licence was automatically suspended and his vehicle was seized and impounded as a result of the charges.

He was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court in Orangeville on October 31, 2017.
