OPP Arrest Two Males Going Through Vehicles in Caledon

Early in the morning on Saturday, November 11, 2017, Caledon OPP officers were called to a report of suspicious persons that were observed going through vehicles on Marion Street in Caledon East.

When police arrived in the area, an officer travelled along Larry Street and saw a man standing next to a vehicle on a private driveway while a second man was inside the vehicle. Acting swiftly, the officer was able to apprehend both male suspects who were caught in the act.

As a result, an 18-year old Toronto man was charged with Theft Under $5,000 from a Motor Vehicle and Trespassing at Night. He is scheduled to appear in court in Orangeville on December 14, 2017 to answer to the charges. With him, a 17-year old male from Toronto has also been charged with the same offenses and will appear in court on the same day.

Caledon OPP are now reminding the public to lock their vehicles and remove all valuable items from plain view, or better yet, from being stored inside your vehicle. Make your property less desirable to criminals by doing your part to deter crime.
