No Charges Against The Driver After A 3-Year Old Girl Was Killed At The Pinery Provincial Park Last Weekend

The OPP say charges will not be laid after a three-year-old girl was struck and killed by a pickup truck at the Pinery Provincial Park near Grand Bend last weekend. The driver, a 39-year-old man from Toronto, was trying to make a U-turn when he struck the girl. Bystanders tried to help the girl until an ambulance arrived, but she was later pronounced dead at the hospital. “The family is extremely distraught over the loss of their child,” the police said in a news release, and they would not be releasing the names of the child or the driver “to assist in their grieving process.” Police say they have concluded their investigation and found no grounds to charge the driver.
