‘Lest We Forget’ On The Eleventh Hour of The Eleventh Day of The Eleventh Month. We Remember. Today marks the 99th Anniversary of Remembrance Day first observed in 1919. Please wear a poppy today and take the time today to reflect and remember just how fortunate and blessed we are. We should always remember and honour the brave men and women who fought for our freedom. Respect to all The Heroes and The Fallen who paid the ultimate sacrifice while defending our country. We can never say it enough to express our love and gratitude. Thank You! All official flags at Toronto City Hall and Civic Centres will be lowered at half mast today. City Hall and The CN Tower will be lit up in poppy red tonight for Remembrance Day. Today is also referred to as Armistice Day, Veterans Day and Poppy Day. ‘Never Forget.’
